10~ Persistance & Patientence! Just keep putting him/her back to bed.
9~ Put him/her to bed and put the History Channel on. Tell him/her you'll come lay with them when the show is over. Trust me, he/she will be asleep before the show is over. Especially if it is an hour long show.
8~ Bribery goes a long way.
7~ Develop a Bedtime Routine & Stick with it!
6~ Let him/her choose a couple of bed time stories. Explain that when the stories are over he/she must go to sleep.
5~ Tell them to go "hide" under the covers in his/her bed and you will come find him/her. WAIT...Take your time, if he/she is tired enough he/she will be asleep before you find him/her.
4~ Since it's Christmas, tell him/her that Santa won't know where to find him/her if he/she is not in his/her own bed.
3~ For me it's like "Survivor". You have to "Outwit & Outlast".
2~ Make his/her room exciting and inviting. Let him/her participate in the decorating.
1~ Let him/her sleep with you. One day you'll be longing for the days he/she loved to snuggle with you!
Thanks Again for all the great input!

My Apologies
I have to apologize for not posting in a few weeks. I have been sick and just started feeling better this week. After trying to play catch up with house work and my business and then having to get some Christmas shopping done, I'm just now getting to my blog. I've had to delete a trillion emails I just didn't have the time to read them all. So let's start over...
Give me your tips for keeping your little ones in bed at night. On Monday I will post the poll for the Top 10 list. Thanks for understanding...

Top 10 Things Someone Should Have Told Me About MotherHood...
And the results are in! Sorry for the delay, it has been a CRAZY weekend! So here is the list....
10-When you desparately need something to write with you will only find CRAYONS!
9- Life's greatest disasters happen only when you are in the bathroom or on the phone.
8- The Moment you think they are asleep in bed and begin to relax someone needs a drink.
This cycle continues for an hour, if you're lucky.
7- Remember your first broken heart? It hurts more when it's your child's first broken heart.
6- I would one day have to apologize to my own Mother for everything I've ever done!
5- Children throw the best tantrums when there are the most people around to stare at you.
4- When your children leave the nest you will still worry, when you have grandchildren you will
worry more.
3- Band-Aids cure EVERYTHING! Keep an endless supply.
2- Spend more time laughing and playing and less time trying to make them perfect.
The Number 1 Thing Someone Should Have Told Me About Mother Hood....
1- "MOM" the first word you cannot wait for them to say, eventually becomes the last word
you want to hear!
So there is the First "Mom's Top 10 List". Thank You to all who gave suggestions.
The next topic...
Do you have (did you have) a little one who just won't stay in bed? What are your "Tricks of the Trade"? How did you get him/her to stay there? Since I have one who is doing this now, I could use the advice. I'd love to hear your "Top 10 ways you kept your little one from getting out of bed".
Leave me comments or email me your suggestions! As always I will post your link for your suggestions!

Some Suggestions & Stuff
I just wanted to take some time and post some of the suggestions that were given for this topic thus far.
-Life's Greatest Disasters only happen when you're in the Bathroom or on the phone.
-Mom is the first word you can't wait for your children to say and becomes the last one you want to hear. "Mom, When are we; Mom, Can you; Mom, Did you; Mom, Where's my; Mom, Mom, Mom, Mom, MOM!"
-The kids are in bed, you sit down, you get comfortable...then you hear..."Mom, Can I have some water?" This cycle repeats for about an hour (if you're lucky).
-Your children throw the best tantrums when there are the most people around to stare at you.
These are just a few, I have more that I haven't read yet. If you have a suggestion please share using the comments suggestion. I will post your blog or website link on here for as long as this topic is open.
I've also decided to do a "Mom's Top 10 Mom of the Month" if you have a business that is just booming or a blog that has people hanging on your every word I'd love to have you for my "Mom of the Month". Email me and let me know.
Also, being in the Home Party biz myself I've been to quite a few home parties, some boring, some so fun and hysterical I couldn't wait to have my own. So if you're a consultant in the Home Party Biz and your parties are over the top fun. I want to talk to you. Email me, tell me your biz, what you do, send me some pics, and we'll chat for a feature that I'm planning.
Don't forget to submit your suggestions for my current topic..."Things someone should have told me about Motherhood..."

Mom's Top 10 Kicks Off!
Hello & Welcome to my new Blog: "Mom's Top 10". I'm very excited about this project and can't wait to get started.
First, new Posts will be on Monday's & Friday's. I know this is confusing but we'll all get use to it. Basically, Friday is the start: A Top 10 List is posted with the New Top 10 Topic for the following Friday being introduced. Over the weekend leave me comments, suggestions or recommendations for the New Top 10 Topic. On Monday, I will post a poll with all the suggestions, etc. that I receive. You will have till Thursday to vote for your favorites. The Top 10 will get posted on Friday in order of Popularity with "1" being the Best!
Of course since you all will be helping me with my lists I won't forget you. If your suggestion, etc is used I will post your link on my blog for the week. This will be done on a first come, first served basis. If multiple people leave the same suggestion only the first one who posted will get their link posted. As well as, when I do Top 10 Lists on Products if your product is on the Top 10 your link will get posted then too. And anyone who leaves me suggestions for a Top 10 Topic and I use that suggestion, I will post your link for that week as well.
Down to Business:
Since this is the "Kick Off" I am posting a Topic now and voting will open on Monday. No Top 10 List will be posted on Friday so I can use this week to generate traffic.
TOPIC: Things someone should have told me about Motherhood...
Whenever you hear someone is pregnant or just had a baby what is the first thing you would LOVE to tell them, but don't want to scare them. Or things you've learned along the way and think..."If I'd only known...". So, let me hear your suggestions for this list and feel free to elaborate. Remember, voting will open on Monday (11/19) and the list will be posted on Friday (11/23).
My Suggestion: Things someone should have told me about Motherhood...that when you desparately need something to write with you will only find CRAYONS!!! I have signed many tests, absent notes and once signed my name in Crayon for lack of anything else to write with.
Post a comment to give me your suggestions, be sure to leave your email or email me if you would like your link posted.
